Public and state organizations of the country discussed the ways of cooperation in the implementation of social and economic development programs of Turkmenistan during the Forum held in Ashgabat in the hall of the Yyldyz hotel the other day.

Representatives of the public organizations of the regions joined the participants through the ZOOM platform. According to the newspaper ‘Neutral Turkmenistan’, representatives of the Turkmen Ombudsman Office as well as the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of the country also participated in the conference.

Within the framework of the Forum Program, Gulya Choreklieva, the Сhairwoman of the Ýeňme Public Organization of Turkmenistan, gave an overview of the activities of public associations of Turkmenistan. Noting that many public organizations are now officially included as partners of state organizations for the implementation of national development strategies and programs, she outlined all areas of their work. These are social support for vulnerable categories of the population and their integration into society, environmental protection and the formation of ecological culture in society, popularization of sports among young people, increasing economic literacy among young people, providing free consultations in the area of legislation, opening small and medium-sized businesses etc.

The review paid special attention to the interaction of the state and civil society institutions based on the principles of social partnership. Today, public associations closely cooperate with various ministries and departments, as well as with local executive authorities.

The Chairpersons of the Public Organizations Aşyl Şöhle, "Agama", Turkmen Society of the Blind and Deaf, the Central Physical Culture and Sports Club of the Disabled, the Union of Economists, the Society for Nature Protection etc. also made detailed presentations of their activities.

Representatives of the Ministries of Labor and Social Protection of the population, Health and Medical Industry, as well as the Administration of the city of Ashgabat spoke of the implementation of social support programs for citizens through the introduction of inclusive quality social services at the local level, as well as programs for the rehabilitation and social integration of people with disabilities.
