The implementation of the Framework Program for Cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UN in the field of sustainable development for 2021-2025 was discussed today during an online meeting of the Joint Steering and Coordinating Committee.
The meeting was attended by leaders and officers of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, representatives of relevant ministries and agencies of the country, as well as heads and representatives of UN structural units in Ashgabat.
During the meeting, further steps were considered to develop cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UN and its specialized agencies, which covers such key areas as security, gender equality, environmental issues and others.
The meeting participants emphasized the importance of the implementation of joint socio-economic projects, as well as the intensification of multilateral cooperation in the area of medical diplomacy.
