The head of Turkmenistan ordered to take measures to increase budget revenues and continue the search for additional sources of funding for the adopted programs during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, the State News Agency reported.

Addressing Vice - Premier Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who oversees the financial and economic block in the government, the President of Turkmenistan instructed to intensify the work to attract investments and keep under constant control the volume of government spending and their effectiveness.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that it is necessary to continue monitoring the state of the national economy, as well as, based on the current situation, to analyze the expected indicators of the country's socio-economic development.

According to the Turkmen leader, the timely implementation of the plans will allow minimizing the impact on the national economy of negative factors in the system of world economic relations in the short and medium term.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov was also instructed to prepare, together with all deputy prime ministers, the country's economic development program for 2022, which should be based on reliable investments.

“Each ministry and sectoral department should have a specific work plan for 2022,” the head of state emphasized.
