The competition “Ýylyň türkmen edermen alabaýy” (“Brave Turkmen Alabay of the Year”) was first held in Turkmenistan on the occasion of the National Holiday of the Turkmen Alabay.

The competition was attended by 10 Alabays, selected at preliminary stages in various regions and departments of the country.

Worthy representatives of the breed were led along the observation deck and the obstacle course for dogs. Faithful animals conquered the audience with their proportional physique, calmness of movements, behind which lies strength and confidence.

The chairman of the jury, People's Artist of Turkmenistan Saragt Babayev announced the results of the competition, announcing that the title “Brave Turkmen Alabay of the Year” was awarded to an alabay named Akhan belonging to the State Border Service of Turkmenistan.

The awards of the competition were presented by the Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Supreme Control Chamber of Turkmenistan, President of the International Association of Ahalteke Horse Breeding and the International Association “Turkmen Alabay” Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The winner's neck was decorated with a special medal, and the representative of the border department was awarded the main prize of the President of Turkmenistan - the keys to the Toyota Camry and the challenge cup, reports “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.

It should be reminded that on the occasion of the National Holiday of the Turkmen Alabay, the ceremonial opening of the complex of the International Association “Türkmen alabaý itleri” (“Turkmen Alabay”) took place in the country.
