President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the equestrian complex on the weekend.

Taking care of the development of the noble traditions of our ancestors at the present stage, the head of state pays special attention to Akhal-Teke horses and always finds time to visit the "heavenly" horses, which are the national pride of the Turkmen people.

The leader of the nation rode a horse named Hanbeg from the Akhal-Teke equestrian complex of the President of Turkmenistan. In accordance with the national traditions of seyis, the President carefully look after the horse, and then began to walk him.

For centuries, Turkmen breeders, seyis and horse breeders have improved the breed of the Akhal-Teke horse, preserving its unique qualities. And the visible result of this is that Turkmen horses are distinguished by their characteristic silky tint, elegant exterior, and rapid running speed.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasizes that the history of the formation of the Akhal-Teke breed and the unique character of Turkmen horses should be carefully studied, and the principles of ancient breeding should be enriched with modern scientific data to pass them on to future generations, the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper reports today.
