Turkmenistan became the 47th member state of the Islamic Corporation for insurance of investments and export credits (ICSIC), a member of the Islamic Development Bank group, according to SNG.TODAY.
According to the information, the basis for Turkmenistan's membership in this organization was laid at the X International gas Congress held in May 2019 in the national tourist zone "Avaza".
The Islamic Corporation for insurance of investments and export credits (IXIC) was established on 1 August 1994 as an international organization. The Corporation is part of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group. Currently, its membership consists of 47 member countries of the IDB. ICSIC is a multinational insurance company, providing insurance services and export credit, political risk insurance and reinsurance services.
Turkmenistan joined the IDB group in 1994.
