Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov plans to visit Azerbaijan, according to the Azerbaijani state news agency AZERTAC.

According to the publication, Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Baku, Gurbanmammet Elyasov, shared these plans during a panel session entitled "Peacebuilding Mechanisms: Party Diplomacy Against the Background of Global Challenges" at the international conference "Regional Contribution to Global Security: Peacebuilding in the South Caucasus."

"A number of documents are expected to be signed during the visit. These documents will make an important contribution to the further expansion of cooperation between the two countries and the development of bilateral relations," the statement said.
