Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Dunyagozel Gulmanova, accepted credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Finland, Maria Agren. The ceremony was held at the direction of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

During the meeting, the ambassador learned about the main directions of Turkmenistan's domestic and foreign policy. Particular emphasis was placed on the country's commitment to the principles of neutrality and the development of equal international cooperation. Agren also received detailed information about the structure and activities of the Mejlis.

The parties exchanged views on bilateral relations, including within multilateral formats – primarily within the UN system and other international organizations.

Maria Agren conveyed greetings to the President of Turkmenistan from Finnish President Alexander Stubb and assured that she would make every effort to further strengthen interstate cooperation based on mutual trust and respect.
