Turkmenistan announced the winners of the IV integrated Olympiad "Talented Descendants of Oguz han," held by the Oguz han Engineering and Technology University among students in grades 9-12 of the country's secondary schools. This year, over 22 thousand students participated in the Olympiad, of which 68 reached the finals.
As reported by "Turkmenistan: Golden Age", 21 schoolchildren were awarded prizes in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology.
I place was won by Aygul Merdanova, a 9th-grade student of Secondary School No. 86 in Ashgabat, Ilyas Silabov, an 11th-grade student of Secondary School No. 41 in Turkmenabat, Lebap velayat, and Rukiya Atajanova, a 12th-grade student of Secondary School No. 24 in Dashoguz, Dashoguz velayat.
Young science experts from schools in Ashgabat and across the country rightfully earned seven second and eleven third place awards. Additionally, 32 schoolchildren received incentive prizes in the large-scale competition.
The winners and runners-up of the Olympiad were awarded medals, diplomas, and valuable gifts from the organizing university.
For their active participation and assistance in organizing and holding the Olympiad at a high level, letters of gratitude were presented to secondary school teachers from the country's velayats, as well as to faculty and students from Oguz han University.
According to the Olympiad rules, finalists are included in the university's Golden Fund, "Talented Descendants of Oguz han," whose members enjoy preferential admission to the university.
