Turkmenistan signed a package of agreements with companies from six countries at the WCA 2026

On May 24, a document signing ceremony was held at the XXV International Universal Exhibition and Conference "White City Ashgabat 2026" with representatives of the Turkmen government, municipal authorities, and foreign companies. The agreements covered the areas of digital technology, energy, transportation, heavy industry, and urban infrastructure.

In the digital sector, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Communications, and the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan signed a multilateral memorandum of understanding with the Singapore-based company Bitdeer Technologies Group. The document provides for the development of digital infrastructure and technology ecosystems, as well as promoting economic diversification and the digital transformation of industries.

In the energy sector, the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan concluded an agreement with the Japanese Muroosystems Corporation on the main non-binding terms of cooperation in the field of innovative technologies and industry modernization.

In the industrial sector, the state-owned concern “Türkmenhimiya” signed a memorandum with a consortium consisting of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., Mitsubishi Corporation Machinery Inc. (Japan), and Çalık Enerji Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (Turkey) regarding the maintenance and repair of the “Garabogazkarbamid” ammonia-urea complex. The concern also signed a separate memorandum with Hong Kong Richie Sweet Co., Ltd. (China) regarding the expansion of production capacity and investment cooperation.

In the transport sector, the Ministry of Roads of Turkmenistan signed a memorandum with the German company Inros Lackner SE, and also signed agreements with the Chinese companies Shantui Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. and Sinotruk Hong Kong Capital Holding Limited, providing for the supply of equipment, fleet renewal, and logistics development.

At the city level, the Ashgabat City Administration signed contracts with the economic society "Gök Depeler" for the design and construction of two schools with 720 students each and a kindergarten with 320 students in the Bagyr residential complex in the Buzmeyin etrap. A contract was signed with the private enterprise "Hil Merkez" for the construction of a medical center for district residents.
