During a meeting between Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Tokyo A. Bayramov and Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan Eisuke Mori, an exchange of views took place on the development of political and inter-parliamentary cooperation.

Specific areas of cooperation were discussed, in particular, strengthening the activities of the Turkmen-Japanese Interparliamentary Friendship Group and holding the First Interparliamentary Dialogue Forum "Central Asia + Japan" in Ashgabat.

The creation of exchange mechanisms between female parliamentarians of Turkmenistan and Japan in the areas of healthcare, education, charity, and culture was also discussed, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reported.
