A delegation from Turkmenistan, led by the Chairman of the Democratic Party, Ata Serdarov, visited Kampala from May 10 to 15 to participate in the inauguration ceremony of the re-elected President of the Republic of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the event took place at the Kololo Ceremonial Square in the capital of Uganda.

Following the event, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni received the Turkmen delegation at the presidential palace in Entebbe. The newly elected President of Uganda received a letter of gratitude from Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the invitation to participate in the inauguration ceremony, which also expressed best wishes to the friendly people of Uganda.
Yoweri Kaguta Museveni expressed gratitude to the leadership of Turkmenistan on his own behalf and on behalf of the friendly people of Uganda.

During the Turkmen delegation's visit, Ata Serdarov held meetings with Richard Todwong, Secretary-General of Uganda's ruling party, and at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Bilateral cooperation in many areas was discussed.
