Preparations for the grain harvest are underway in northern Turkmenistan

Preparations for the upcoming grain harvest are currently underway in the Dashoguz velayat, reports Turkmenistan: Golden Age.

All necessary measures are being taken to ensure the smooth operation of grain receiving stations and elevators, with due attention being paid to the technical readiness of grain harvesters and fire safety.

The basis of the current harvest was made up of high-yielding and disease-resistant wheat varieties, such as the Alekseevich and Bezostaya-100 varieties, which have proven themselves well in local climatic conditions.

Today, the region has a complete agricultural production cycle, including seed preparation, sowing, harvesting, storage, and grain processing. The region boasts a vast network of specialized facilities, including three high-performance flour mills, seven grain elevators, and dozens of well-equipped grain receiving stations.

For example, a large grain processing plant in the Gorogly district is a true wheat processing and storage complex, designed to simultaneously store 50 thousand tons of grain and produce 50 thousand tons of premium and first-grade flour per year, the source notes.
