Turkish Airlines reminds passengers that updated baggage regulations came into effect on April 20, 2026. Tourists from Turkmenistan are advised to check their baggage allowance in advance to avoid unexpected additional charges at the airport.

The airline specifically emphasizes that suitcases with a combined three-dimensional dimension exceeding 158-292 cm are considered oversized and subject to an additional fee of $90.

As a reminder, the current baggage allowances are:

Carry-on baggage: one piece weighing up to 8 kg and no larger than 55 x 40 x 23 cm

Personal item: one, up to 40 x 30 x 15 cm

Strollers: permitted if weighing up to 8 kg and measuring up to 115 cm.
