A competition for schoolchildren, "Young Engineer 2026," was held in Turkmenistan

Around two hundred students in grades 7–12 from across Turkmenistan took part in the Young Engineer 2026 competition, which was held in Ashgabat at the Ojar Aziýa private enterprise.

The competition included team and individual events, according to Turkmenistan: Golden Age.

The following were the winners:

  • In the "Smart Manufacturing and Service Technologies" category – Aylar Amanova and Nepes Jorakulyev (Ashgabat International School);

  • In the "Robotics" category – Aznavur Cholukov (Ashgabat Specialized Secondary School No. 97 with Advanced Language Studies);

  • In the "Young Coders" category – Ata Goshayev (Balkanabat branch of the "Kämil Bilim" Educational Center);

  • In the "BattleBots" category – Yusup Geldiyev (Ashgabat Specialized Secondary School No. 135 with Advanced English Studies).

The top five participants in the Robotics category earned the right to represent Turkmenistan at the First Global Challenge 2026. Last year, Turkmen schoolchildren won the Skills Challenge at this forum in Panama.

The Young Engineer 2026 competition was organized by the Ashgabat City Committee of the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, the Ashgabat City Education Department, and the Ashgabat City Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization.

As the organizers noted, such events clearly demonstrate the success of educational reforms and open up new horizons for young people's development.
