Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree conferring the honorary title "Türkmenistanyň at gazanan atşynasy" (Honored Horse Breeder of Turkmenistan) on five citizens, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reported.

The honorary title was awarded to the groom of the equestrian sports and equestrian tourism department of the International Ahal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the State Association "Türkmen atlary" Rejepmuhammet Gylyjov, as well as four private horse breeders - Ataberdi Borjakov, Bashim Bashimov from Ashgabat, Orazdurdy Orazmyradov from the Balkan velayat and Hemra Rejepov from the Dashoguz velayat.

The award is given for significant contributions to the glorification of Ahal-Teke horses, the development of the horse breeding industry, and the preservation and improvement of the breeding qualities of Turkmen horses.
