Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has ordered strict adherence to fire safety regulations to prevent fires in forests, pastures, and croplands during the country's warmer season, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
The meeting was held via videoconference with Deputy Prime Minister T. Atahalliyev and the regional governors. The meeting addressed issues related to the agricultural sector and the progress of work in the regions.
The Deputy Prime Minister reported on the current seasonal agricultural campaigns. In wheat fields, mineral fertilizers and vegetation irrigation are being applied in accordance with agricultural standards. Cotton sowing continues in the regions, with an emphasis on the efficient use of agricultural machinery, as well as maintenance of spring crops and silkworm nests to meet cocoon production targets.
The President emphasized that adherence to agricultural standards, the implementation of innovative methods, and the use of modern, high-performance equipment contribute to high yields and the rational use of land and water resources. Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed that cotton sowing be completed on time and that wheat and other food crops be managed using a scientifically sound approach.
