Turkmenistan has announced priority areas for cooperation with China in the field of education

A meeting with a representative delegation from the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China was held at the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.

The Chinese side expressed its readiness to expand cooperation in language training, scholarship opportunities for Turkmen students, the creation of joint laboratories, and the development of new educational platforms within the framework of the Belt and Road initiative. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.

The Turkmen side proposed considering the possibility of implementing joint initiatives on the applied use of artificial intelligence in education, the creation of joint laboratories, conducting scientific research, and practical methodological seminars.

Priority areas of particular interest to Turkmenistan included artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, biotechnology, bioengineering, chemical engineering, energy, and green energy. These areas were proposed to be considered when distributing scholarship opportunities under the Central Asia-China format.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their interest in strengthening cooperation, agreed to continue working consultations in the identified areas, and noted the particular importance of systematically implementing previously reached agreements.
