A competition for young engineers and programmers will be held in Ashgabat

On April 25, the "Young Engineer 2026" engineering and technical competition will be held in Ashgabat. The organizers are the Ashgabat City Committee of the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, the Ashgabat City Education Department of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, and the Ashgabat City Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization, according to the Ministry of Education's website.

The competition encompasses four tracks. In the "Smart Manufacturing and Service Technologies" track, students in grades 7–12 will present their innovative developments, including in teams of up to two. The "Robotics" track allows for individual participation by students in grades 7–12: participating robots must collect balls and distribute them into containers of varying heights within 2,5 minutes. The top five in this category will qualify for the First Global Challenge 2026, the world robotics championship. Students in 8th grade and below will participate in the "Girls Code" competition, presenting their Scratch projects in the form of games, animations, or applications. The BattleBots category—robot battles—is open to participants of all ages.

Pre-registration is mandatory and closes on April 15, 2026. Winners in each category will be awarded valuable prizes from the founding organizations and certificates of honor from the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.

The event will be held in the building of the private enterprise "Ojar Asia" at the address: G. Kuliyev street, 38. For inquiries about participation, please call: +993 61 86 27 66.
