Eight new facilities are planned for commissioning in the Lebap velayat in 2026

Eight buildings and structures are planned to open in the Lebap regi velayat on this year. Deputy Prime Minister Baymyrat Annamammedov announced this during an off-site government meeting, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

According to him, construction of the facilities is proceeding at an accelerated pace to ensure high quality work and meet the established deadlines for commissioning.

The Ministry of Industry and Construction is implementing a range of measures to develop the industry, increase production of import-substituting building materials, and expand the volume and range of exported products.

In the city of Dostluk in the Dovletli district, the joint venture company "Türkmengips" is rapidly constructing a plant for the production of dry construction mixes and gypsum board products, with a capacity of 250 thousand tons and 20 million square meters per year, respectively.

To ensure reliable electricity supply to consumers in the region, agencies under the Ministry of Energy are conducting the planned construction of new power plants and transmission lines, as well as the reconstruction of existing power facilities.

Enterprises under the Ministry of Roads are repairing and reconstructing national and local roads, bridges, as well as streets and sidewalks in populated areas of the velayat.

The state-owned concern "Türkmenhimiýa" continues construction of a production complex at the S.A. Niyazov Turkmenabat Chemical Plant with an annual capacity of 350 thousand tons of superphosphate and 100 thousand tons of ammonium sulfate. The facility is designed to supply agriculture with phosphorus fertilizers and expand the range of mineral fertilizers produced in the country. Concurrently, work is underway to bring the Garlyk Potash Mining Complex in the Koytendag etrap up to its design capacity.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need to ensure full capacity utilization of the country's chemical and construction enterprises, including in the Lebap velayat, and to continue work on establishing new production facilities in the region.

The head of state instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to exercise strict control over the quality of construction and compliance with deadlines for completion of projects, as well as to continue modernizing the velayat's road infrastructure.
