In October, the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone will host a Women's Dialogue, a Demographic Conference, and a high-level event of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly. This was announced by National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, during a telephone conversation with Russian Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko.
"Hero Arkadag expressed gratitude for the support of the initiative to hold a Women's Dialogue, a Conference on Demographic Issues, and a high-level event within the framework of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly in the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone this October," the State News Agency of Turkmenistan quotes the National Leader as saying.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the events will take place ahead of the meeting of the CIS Heads of State Council, which will enhance its significance. The National Leader also thanked Valentina Matviyenko for her special attention to the forums, sessions, and meetings planned for Turkmenistan this year within the framework of the country's CIS Presidency.
During the conversation, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of strengthening humanitarian ties between the two countries and thanked Matviyenko for her attention to preserving shared historical memory as a basis for expanding cooperation in political, diplomatic, economic, and other spheres. At the initiative of the Speaker of the Federation Council, events such as "Train of Memory" and "Fashion Commonwealth" are being held within the CIS, as well as conferences, festivals, and meetings on youth, women, science, education, culture, and the arts. The participation of Turkmen representatives, as noted during the conversation, demonstrates the high regard in Turkmenistan for these initiatives.
