The grand finale and awards ceremony for the “Francophonie 2026” Festival took place at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, according to Turkmenistan: Golden Age.

This year, the Francophonie was held under the motto "On the Move." The competitions were organized by the French Institute in Turkmenistan jointly with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Education, with the support of diplomatic missions of French-speaking countries: Belgium, Romania, Switzerland, Canada, as well as the embassies of Armenia and Ukraine, and the EU Delegation.

The festival program included a song contest, an essay contest, and an oral spelling competition, the preliminary rounds of which were held in March.

The winners of the competitions were awarded diplomas and valuable gifts from the festival organizers and sponsors.

The annual celebration of International Francophonie Day on March 20 unites French-speaking people around the world and all lovers of the French language. This holiday, in keeping with tradition, is annually celebrated in Turkmenistan with a large-scale festival, which promotes the strengthening of cultural and humanitarian ties and friendly relations between the countries.
