Representatives of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Tajikistan participated in an event hosted by the Mirzo Tursunzade Tajik State Institute of Culture and Arts on April 1.

The event was aimed at strengthening national traditions and promoting cultural values, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The Embassy of Turkmenistan organized a national stand dedicated to the 2026 motto "Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses," as well as the country's achievements since independence.

A photo exhibition dedicated to Ahal-Teke horses, a national treasure of Turkmenistan and a symbol of beauty, endurance, and the centuries-old traditions of Turkmen horse breeding, generated considerable interest among participants.

During the event, as a symbol of strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties between the two friendly countries, the rector of the Tajik university was presented with a book by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, "Ganatly Bedewler," published in the Tajik language.

The event included a rich cultural program, including musical and theatrical performances, as well as an exhibition of arts and crafts, the source notes.
