Marta Giris from Turkmenistan became the winner of the International School Olympiad of MGIMO and entered the faculty of international journalism of the university. This was reported by the Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan.
Following two waves of entrance examinations at MGIMO for foreign applicants, more than 180 people received confirmation of admission to the university. Among them are dozens of winners and prize winners of the MGIMO International School Olympiad.
In the 2024/25 academic year, the Olympiad was held for the third time and brought together 3,182 participants from around the world.
“When I saw my name on the list of winners, I didn’t believe it right away. But soon came the realization and joy. This is a big step forward towards my dream,” said Marta Giris.
The applicant graduated from school with a gold medal. Her interest in international relations arose thanks to her family - her father works in the field of diplomacy. However, it was creativity and love for words that determined her choice of journalism.
“I am confident that MGIMO will help me to reveal my potential, become more confident and develop as a future professional,” the winner noted.
The third wave of entrance interviews at MGIMO will be held from July 18 to 24.
