An exhibition of Turkmenistan's export goods was opened in Istanbul, Türkiye, within the framework of an international exhibition, where high-quality and competitive products from Turkmen manufacturers are presented.
Turkish Trade Minister Omer Bolat, who attended the opening ceremony, highly praised the activity of the Turkmen delegation and noted the importance of holding such events together.
The exhibition includes B2B business meetings between entrepreneurs from the two countries, which contributes to the expansion of bilateral cooperation.
Bolat reported impressive results in trade and economic relations between Türkiye and Turkmenistan. Last year, mutual trade turnover exceeded 2,2 billion USD with an increase of 8,35%. In the first half of 2025, the growth was already 26,5%.
"If this pace continues, next year we will easily exceed the $3 billion mark," the Turkish minister said.
Particular attention was paid to achievements in the gas sector. In 2025, important agreements were concluded on the import of Turkmen gas through Iran and supplies to the European market through Türkiye.
The minister also announced that an exhibition of Turkish export goods will be held in Ashgabat in February 2026.
The international exhibition in Istanbul will last until July 5.
