The delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Minister of Economy and Finance of Turkmenistan M. Astanagulov is taking part in the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4), which is being held from June 30 to July 3 in Seville. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
In his speech, M. Astanagulov noted that one of the important messages of the Conference is the updated global approach to financing for development, which is reflected in the Final Document of the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development.
The head of the Turkmen delegation emphasized that the country will adhere to the recommendations specified in the Final Document, including the timely implementation of relevant development programs and strategies, including the Action Program for Landlocked Countries.
During the event, it was noted that the conference provides a unique opportunity to discuss issues related to reforming financing systems at the global, national and local levels. It was also emphasized that the development of sustainable transport systems, logistical interconnectivity, and the construction of reliable transport and communications infrastructure at the global level are also of particular importance in the context of global economic transformation.
It was noted that the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which will be held in Turkmenistan, will become an important platform for developing dialogue, including on issues of financing sustainable development.
