The first Women's Forum of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) is being held in the Azerbaijani city of Lachin, in which Turkmenistan is participating along with other member countries of the organization, report.az reports.
The forum is organized within the framework of the ECO Week on the initiative of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. The event is aimed at promoting intersectoral cooperation of ECO countries to empower women in all areas of human development.
The main objective of the forum is to strengthen the role of women in building sustainable, inclusive and resilient communities throughout the Economic Cooperation Organization region.
During the event, participants discuss several key areas, including the role of women in human development to ensure resilience to climate change, empowerment of girls and women through education, and digital inclusion with a focus on innovation and sharing experiences.
The Forum serves as an important platform for dialogue, cooperation and exchange of experiences among women leaders from various countries of the ECO region and relevant international partner organizations.
