By decree of the head of state, the position of head of the presidential administration was re-established. This position was taken by Saida Mirziyoyeva, who previously worked as an assistant to the president, writes gazeta.uz.
Since August 2023, Saida Mirziyoyeva has held the post of assistant to the president, and before that, since November 2022, she worked as the head of the communications and information policy sector of the executive office of the Presidential Administration. This sector was part of the structure of the system of the former deputy head of the administration Komil Allamjonov, responsible for public opinion research and information policy.
Saida Mirziyoyeva is a graduate of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, a master of the Tashkent State Law University and the Lomonosov Moscow State University, and a candidate of economic sciences.
In 2019-2020, she held the position of Deputy Director of the Agency for Information and Mass Communications (headed by Komil Allamjonov) under the Presidential Administration, then Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Fund for the Support and Development of National Mass Media (the head of the board was also Komil Allamjonov).
In August 2023, Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved the new structure of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan. At that time, the position of the head of the AP was abolished, and two more positions of presidential aide were introduced, the number of advisers increased from 9 to 11, etc.
The previous head of the Presidential Administration in 2022-2023 was Sardor Umurzakov, who currently works as an adviser to the president for special assignments.
