Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences from the New York Institute of Technology Melda Yildiz held a seminar at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The seminar on the topic "Digitalization, IT and Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education" was aimed at the application of STEM technology in education, reports "Turkmenistana: Golden Age".
Students and teachers of the institute responsible for issues of digitalization of the educational process, the introduction of artificial intelligence in education, educational digital platforms and educational technologies, attended the training.
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) is an educational model that arose on the initiative of scientists from the US National Science Foundation in the early 2000s. STEM is based on the integration of scientific, technical, engineering and mathematical disciplines and their teaching in conjunction with each other.
The seminar largely contributed to the acquisition of valuable knowledge by the participants, broadening their horizons, mastering the skills of managing innovative technologies and increasing the determination of young specialists. During the seminar, Melda Yildiz answered in detail all the questions of interest to the participants.
After the seminar, a tour of the institute was organized for the scientist from New York, during which she got acquainted with the museum of the "History of Turkmen Diplomacy", the UNESCO club "Culture of Peace", the Educational Studio and the "White Yurt of the Turkmen", built for the university project "Young Messengers of Peace", the source notes.
