A meeting of heads of operational units of the ministries of internal affairs of the CIS member states was held in the capital of Kazakhstan, dedicated to issues of combating organized crime. Turkmenistan was among the participants of this interstate event along with representatives of Russia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, TASS writes.
The key topics of discussion were measures to suppress channels of illegal arms trafficking, strengthening the exchange of operational information between countries in the region and developing effective methods to combat criminal groups.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Sadenov, emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation not only in the fight against organized crime, but also in combating all types of crime, ensuring public safety and responding to modern challenges.
