National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as part of an official visit to Azerbaijan, visited the Alley of Honor, where he laid a wreath at the grave of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also laid flowers at the grave of the mother of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and visited the "Victory" park, where he honored the memory of the national heroes of the republic and laid a wreath at the monument.
Under the leadership of Heydar Aliyev, the foundation was laid for the rapid development and strengthening of the international authority of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In Turkmenistan, he is remembered as a statesman who paid special attention to strengthening friendly ties between the two fraternal states.
