The Turkmenistan National Jiu-Jitsu Team will take part in the Mediterranean Open Grand Prix international tournament, which will be held in Rome (Italy) from June 13 to 15.
Turkmenistan will be represented by 18 athletes in various age categories, from juniors to masters. The tournament includes four disciplines: jiu-jitsu, fighting, show and duo.
The men's team included: Jelilmuhammet Hojamyradov, Soltanmyrat Nuryev, Alisher Jumamyradov, Bayram Rovshenov, Islam Rejepov, Dayanch Kulyev, Parahat Rahmanov, Shihberdy Rahmanov, Islam Ovezov, Gudrat Esenov, Begli Saparov, Annagurt Amanmyradov, Rahmet Taganov, Bahtiyar Muradov and Eziz Yolliyev.
The women's team will be represented by Aynur Kullieva, Hurma Abdyeva and Surai Gokgaeva.
The team is trained by coaches Ilyas Ishangulyev and Rahat Kurbanov under the guidance of Kemal Meredov.
The Mediterranean Open Grand Prix is one of the prestigious international jiu-jitsu tournaments, attracting the strongest athletes from around the world.
