President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Vice President, Head of the Planning and Budget Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyed Hamid Pourmohammadi, TDH reports.
As noted, the relations of friendship and good neighborliness between Turkmenistan and Iran have deep historical roots. In the modern era, this interaction is developing both in a bilateral format and within the framework of international organizations on the principles of mutual respect and trust.
Noting the presence of great opportunities for increasing bilateral cooperation, the interlocutors spoke in favor of the need for more effective use of the potential of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Iranian Commission, which serves as an important mechanism in strengthening fruitful interaction.
As is known, Turkmenistan is a supporter of diversification of energy exports to the world market, said President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, continuing that the country is currently working with partners to implement a number of important energy projects. This work is carried out taking into account the requirements for ensuring safety for the population and the environment. In this regard, Turkmenistan’s readiness to support initiatives and proposals aimed at further strengthening the interstate dialogue was confirmed.
