Turkmenistan intends to hold an exhibition of its goods in May this year in the Iranian city of Gurgen. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Noker Atagulyev during a government meeting, TDH reports.
According to Atagulyev, the goals of the event are to expand trade between the two friendly states and introduce Iranian businessmen and consumers to the export potential of Turkmenistan. The exhibition will feature export-oriented goods from various sectors of the national economy, as well as products manufactured by members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the proposal to hold the exhibition and instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to carry out the necessary preparatory work. The head of state emphasized that Turkmenistan is consistently developing trade and economic relations with neighboring states, and noted that Iran is one of Turkmenistan’s close partners.
