During a meeting in Samarkand with European Council President Antonio Costa, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov discussed expanding cooperation in various areas, TDH reports.
As the head of state noted, Turkmenistan attaches great importance to cooperation with the EU in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, and transport and communications spheres. The President of Turkmenistan expressed confidence that the meeting with the head of the European Council will contribute to deepening multilateral relations.
The head of state arrived In Uzbekistan today on a working visit to participate in the Central Asia – European Union summit, which will also be attended by the heads of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. The European Union will be represented by European Council President Antonio Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
