Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent condolences to Myanmar Prime Minister Min Aung Hlaing over the earthquake that resulted in numerous casualties and injuries, TDH reports.
On behalf of the people, the government of Turkmenistan and himself, the head of state expressed deep condolences and words of sympathy at this difficult moment to the families, relatives and friends of the victims, as well as wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured.
A 7.7 magnitude earthquake occurred on Friday in Myanmar, the tremors were felt in five neighboring countries, including Thailand.
As reported by Xinhua, the death toll from the earthquake in Myanmar has risen to about 1 700, 3 400 people were injured, and another 300 are missing.
