Turkmenistan will take part in the meeting of SPECA coordination bodies in Geneva

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has instructed to ensure the country's active participation in the meeting of the heads of national coordinating bodies of the UN Special Program for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA), which will be held on April 8-10 in Geneva. The corresponding instruction was given to Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H. Geldimyradov during the next government meeting held through the digital system, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

The upcoming meeting will discuss the implementation of the SPECA Roadmap for the digitalization of multimodal data and document exchange along the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor using legal instruments and UN standards. The draft SPECA Development Concept for the period up to 2030 and issues of deepening regional trade interconnections will also be considered.

The head of state emphasized that cooperation with the United Nations is one of the key areas of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy, and instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to carefully prepare for the upcoming international event.
