President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with the head of European diplomacy Kaja Kallas, during which he emphasized the country's Interest in developing multilateral cooperation with the European Union, TDH reports.
The meeting took place within the framework of the 20th EU-Central Asia Ministerial Meeting, which was attended by representatives of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The main topic of discussion was preparation for the first EU-Central Asia summit, which will be held on April 3-4 in Samarkand.
The President of Turkmenistan especially noted the prospects for the development of North-South and East-West transport corridors, which can become a reliable bridge for expanding trade and economic cooperation with the countries of the Eurasian continent.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues, including socio-economic development, transport, digital communications, energy, trade and humanitarian cooperation.
