Today, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Guatemala to Turkmenistan (with residence in Ankara) Eduardo Enrique Hernandez Recinos presented copies of his credentials to Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov.
Congratulating the ambassador on his appointment to the responsible post, A. Gurbanov expressed the readiness of the Turkmen side to provide assistance and support in the implementation of his diplomatic activities, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
During the meeting, E. Recinos was acquainted with the key vectors of Turkmenistan’s peaceful foreign policy.
The emphasis was placed on the UN General Assembly Resolution on the proclamation of 2025 as the “International Year of Peace and Trust” at the initiative of Turkmenistan. In this regard, the topic of the participation of the Guatemalan side in the planned events within the framework of the International Year of Peace and Trust was touched upon.
In a conversation about the prospects for cooperation in the political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, the parties noted the importance of establishing inter-parliamentary contacts.
The commitment of Turkmenistan and Guatemala to constructive dialogue in bilateral and multilateral formats, including through international organizations, was also emphasized.
