In the spring, work on studying and restoring historical monuments will continue in Turkmenistan

With the arrival of spring, scientific research and restoration work will continue in Turkmenistan in accordance with the “State Program for 2022–2028 for the careful preservation of national historical and cultural heritage sites, their protection and study, and attracting tourists to them”.

Deputy Prime Minister M. Mammedova reported this at a Government meeting

As noted, large-scale activities are being carried out to preserve, deeply study and restore monuments containing information about the glorious history, ancient rich culture of the Turkmen people and having great significance in the patriotic education of the younger generation.

Measures are also being implemented to improve the relevant legislative framework and bring it into line with international requirements.

In the spring season of this year, it is planned to continue the relevant research and restoration work, the Deputy Prime Minister reported.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, summing up the report, noted that all conditions are being created in the country for a comprehensive study of historical and cultural monuments.

Having emphasized the importance of the activities carried out in this direction, the head of state instructed to continue work on the wide popularization at the international level of archaeological finds discovered as a result of excavations, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
