A passenger plane and a military helicopter collided in the air over Washington on the evening of January 29 near Reagan National Airport. An American Airlines passenger plane collided with a US military Black Hawk helicopter, causing both aircraft to crash.
According to hotnews.ro, there were 64 people on board the passenger liner, including 60 passengers and four crew members. The military helicopter carrying out a training flight had a crew of three military personnel. No survivors have been found at this time.
US Defense Secretary Peter Hegseth announced the immediate launch of an investigation into the causes of the disaster. According to the Pentagon, the incident occurred as the passenger plane was preparing to land at Reagan Airport.
The investigation into this tragic plane crash is being conducted jointly by the U.S. Army and the Department of Defense.
