1. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture and velayat governors, discussing the state of the agricultural sector. The head of state emphasized the importance of timely seasonal agricultural work, and also instructed to regularly clean agricultural fields and systems, monitor the operation of heating systems and the supply of resources to the population.

Particular attention is paid to Turkmenistan's initiatives within the framework of the International Year of Peace and Trust, which are of exceptional importance in the context of global challenges.

3. Turkish Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ahmet Demirok invited Turkmen students to apply for the “Türkiye Bursları” program. The application period is open until February 20, 2025. Since 1992, more than 5000 Turkmen students have studied in Turkey, and last year 45 people became scholarship holders.

4. A control and analytical center of the customs service, created as part of the digitalization of customs procedures, has opened in Turkmenistan. The new center allows monitoring and analyzing customs processes. During the opening of the center, customs officers were presented with keys to cars donated by the President of Turkmenistan.

5. The prospects for opening joint industrial enterprises were one of the key topics of the meeting between Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nokerguly Atagulyev and Ambassador of Tajikistan to Ashgabat Vafo Niyatbekzoda. During the talks, the parties reviewed the current state of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries and outlined ways for its development. Particular attention was paid to increasing trade turnover between the states.

6. From January 24 to 26, “Ashgabat” cinema will host screenings of famous Indian films. The program includes such famous films as the classic film "Vagabond", the modern drama "English-Vinglish", the legendary "Mr. 420", the sports drama "83" and the cult film "My Name Is Joker". Screenings will be held twice a day: the daytime session starts at 11:00 or 13:00, and the evening session at 19:00. Admission to all screenings is free.

7. Donald Trump's historic inauguration ceremony took place at the Capitol building in Washington, D.C. For the first time in four decades, the ceremony was held indoors instead of outdoors. Using innovative technology with semiconductor catalysts, the station team converted carbon dioxide and water into oxygen. A by-product of the process was ethylene, an organic substance that can serve as the basis for creating rocket fuel.

9. Manchester City have announced the signing of a contract with Uzbekistan national team defender Abdukodir Khusanov. The 20-year-old footballer moved from the French club “Lens” and became the first player from Uzbekistan in the history of the English Premier League. The contract is calculated until the summer of 2029. According to Transfermarkt, the transfer amount was 40 million euros.
