National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting of the Organizing State Committee, created in accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan to hold events in honor of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality and the declaration of 2025 by the UN General Assembly as the «International Year of Peace and Trust».
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Mejlis and members of the Cabinet of Ministers, TDH reports. It is noted that the organizing committee is headed by the Halk Maslahaty.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, first of all, congratulated the participants of the meeting on the onset of the new year, wishing them success in their work and prosperity for Turkmenistan in 2025.
The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty said that the 30th anniversary of permanent neutrality of independent Turkmenistan will be widely celebrated in 2025, and that a number of international events are planned to be held in Turkmenistan and other countries of the world in honor of the «International Year of Peace and Trust» and the 30th anniversary of neutrality. He emphasized the importance of discussing the upcoming tasks in connection with these events.
- The management of the activities of the Organizing State Committee, formed on the basis of the recently signed Decree, is entrusted to the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan. The Halk Maslahaty will make every effort to hold festive celebrations and international events at a high level, making a worthy contribution to constructive activities for the sake of a peaceful, prosperous and happy life in our country, - said the National Leader of the Turkmen people. Speaking about this, he focused on the organizational issues of the upcoming celebrations.
