President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov accepted credentials from newly appointed Ambassador of Belarus to Ashgabat Stanislav Chepurny, TDH reports.
During the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan expressed confidence that the plenipotentiary representative of Belarus will do everything possible to strengthen and develop fruitful bilateral cooperation.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects of Turkmen-Belarusian relations. In this regard, it was noted that the countries actively interact not only in a bilateral but also in a multilateral format, within the framework of international and regional organizations, including the UN and the CIS.
Along with this, great importance is attached to strengthening the interstate humanitarian dialogue. Close cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Belarus in the field of education and science, sports, culture and art contributes to deepening the ties of friendship between the two countries and peoples.
Having once again expressed sincere gratitude to the head of state for the opportunity of a personal meeting and wishes for success in fulfilling his responsible mission, the diplomat assured that he would make every effort to further strengthen traditional Turkmen-Belarusian relations and build up a mutually beneficial partnership that meets the interests of the two friendly countries and peoples, the State Information Agency notes.
