On December 30, a large space object weighing almost half a ton fell on Kenyan territory. The massive metal ring, which is part of a launch vehicle, made an unexpected landing near one of the local villages. This was reported by RT on its Telegram channel with reference to The New York Times.
Fortunately, no locals were hurt.
Kenya Space Agency experts confirmed that the fallen object was a separator ring from a launch vehicle. Such elements usually burn up in the atmosphere or fall into the oceans.
