In 2024, 985 children received treatment at the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Center in the city of Arkadag. The director of the center, Maya Okuzova, noted that the institution has all the modern conditions for the treatment and restoration of children’s health, as well as their education. Currently, 54 children are being treated at the center, and 97 children are being raised in the kindergarten at the center, according to the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.
On the first day of the International Year of Peace and Trust, the center hosted New Year’s celebrations with the participation of Ayaz Baba and Garpamyk. Children undergoing treatment took part in a tour of the city of Arkadag and danced in a circle around the Main Christmas Tree of the city. The celebration continued in the center, where the children demonstrated their talents and received New Year’s gifts on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people.
