Permanent Plenipotentiary Representative of Turkmenistan to the statutory and other bodies of the CIS, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Belarus Nazarkuly Shakulyev took part in the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States, which took place on December 12 in Moscow.
The meeting participants approved a Memorandum of Cooperation in the Field of Digital Transformation of the Transport Complex. The cooperation will be aimed at promoting digital sovereignty through the creation, application and development of digital platforms and solutions, the formation of mutually beneficial cooperation ties aimed at developing the information space in the transport industry. The countries will strive to create a modern information infrastructure for the transport complex in the Commonwealth.
Members of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS signed an Agreement on cooperation in the development of civil shipbuilding and the production of ship components.
An Agreement on the training of personnel for penitentiary services was also signed. The document provides for the training of relevant specialists in higher education programs - bachelor's, specialist, master's, postgraduate, as well as additional professional programs.
The corresponding Program for the Development of Cooperation for the Period up to 2030 and the Action Plan for its Implementation, which were signed by the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS, are aimed at dynamic interaction between the CIS states in the field of studying and protecting groundwater.
The meeting participants adopted a Plan of Priority Activities in the Sphere of Humanitarian Cooperation for 2025–2026. The Plan takes into account the holding of the Year of Peace and Unity in the Fight against Nazism in the CIS in 2025, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, and the Year of Health Protection in 2026, the CIS Executive Committee website reports.
