1. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Pia Kauma. During the meeting, issues of strengthening inter-parliamentary relations and interaction with international organizations were discussed. Pia Kauma noted that the OSCE attaches great importance to developing interaction with neutral Turkmenistan, which advocates for strengthening peace and prosperity in the region and on the planet.

2. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy for Road Safety Jean Todt. The parties discussed issues of sustainable transport and road safety, as well as the importance of the UN resolution adopted at the initiative of Turkmenistan to declare November 26 World Sustainable Transport Day. Jean Todt noted the exemplary activities of Turkmenistan in the field of sustainable transport and emphasized the importance of active cooperation with the UN.

3. The 2nd conference “Parliamentary Diplomacy in the OSCE Area: Dialogue – a Tool for Establishing Cooperation for a Prosperous and Peaceful Future” has opened in Ashgabat. It was organized by the Mejlis of Turkmenistan jointly with the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. The main goal of the event is to strengthen regional dialogue and promote a comprehensive approach to ensuring security and sustainable peace.

4. At the international forum, experts from Turkmenistan presented a strategy for transforming the transport sector, emphasizing its key role in solving global environmental problems. According to Deputy General Director of TULM OJSC Rahym Hanayev, transport today is one of the main sources of greenhouse gas emissions, generating almost a quarter of the world's carbon dioxide emissions. The key point of the speech is the revolutionary thesis that transport can become not only a problem, but also a solution to the climate agenda. A concrete step in the implementation of this concept will be a large-scale infrastructure project - the electrification of the Turkmenabat-Turkmenbashy railway line, which is more than 1100 kilometers long. This ambitious plan will not only reduce CO2 emissions, but also significantly increase the country's transit potential.

5. The second ministerial meeting of the Group of Friends of Sustainable Transport was held in the capital of Turkmenistan. During the meeting, the parties considered the possibilities of further improving the activities of the Group of Friends of Sustainable Transport, including the development of new effective solutions in the field of sustainable development of transport systems at the global level. The issue of accepting new member countries that have expressed their intention to join the Group of Friends of Sustainable Transport was considered. The need to consolidate efforts in preparation for the UN Decade of Sustainable Transport for 2026-2035 was emphasized.

6. Within the framework of strengthening bilateral relations, Russia and Kazakhstan have opened a new stage in educational cooperation. Vladimir Putin and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev took part in the opening ceremony of the branch of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi in Omsk via video link. The start of admission of applicants is scheduled for September 2025. The governments of Russia and Kazakhstan have already prepared a joint educational program, within the framework of which 200 grants will be allocated for students.

7. The global coffee market is experiencing an unprecedented price jump. Stock quotes for Arabica have risen to levels not seen since 1977. The main reason for the sharp rise in price is extreme weather conditions in the leading coffee-producing countries - Brazil and Vietnam.
