A series of seminars for school teachers and university professors on French language teaching methods have been completed at the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, the university's press service reported.

These courses, initiated by the country's Higher Language School, were held as part of a series of planned training programs that also include Chinese, English and Russian.

As part of the language course for French language specialists, which took place from October 21 to 26, teachers from the Magtymguly Turkmen State University, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, and specialized schools No. 84, 4, 27, 7, 72, 43, 37, 136, 68, 61, 130, 134 and 143, some of which are focused on in-depth language learning, improved their qualifications.

The lecturer of the training course was Galina Kutasevich, a teacher at the Francophonie training center in Nice, France. She was joined by her Turkmen colleagues from the Dovletmammet Azadi TNIWL, including T.K. Atdaev, T.M. Berdyev, M.H. Amanova, who also spoke about modern innovative methods of teaching French. The seminar provided practical recommendations to help students learn French as a foreign language more effectively. This knowledge will allow university professors and school teachers to significantly improve the quality of language teaching, making the educational process not only useful, but also entertaining.

The participants in the series of seminars discuss current issues of grammatical structure, comparison, translation and methods of teaching foreign languages, which meets the measures envisaged by the Concept for Improving Teaching Methods in General Education Programs in Turkmenistan until 2028, as well as the initiative to consistently improve the qualifications of school and university teachers. It should be noted that currently the study of French is included in the curriculum of a number of specialized schools and universities in Turkmenistan.

During November, the Dovletmammet Azadi TNIWL will host training courses on the methodology of the Russian and English languages. Members of the teaching staff of about thirty educational institutions from all regions of the country will take part in each of them.
