Turkmen photojournalist and photo artist Vyacheslav Adamovich Sargsyan became the winner, the owner of the gold medal in the competition held under the auspices of the International Federation of Photographic Art of UNESCO (FIAP), the International Association of Art Photographers (IAAP) and the Croatian Photo Association (HFS).
The award was not easy to win, as more than 470 participants from 48 countries submitted about 8 000 photographs to the competition, reports “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”. The international jury first selected two thousand, and then allowed only 135 works to participate in the final. And the Turkmen photographer became the best!
Let us remind that Vyacheslav Adamovich is a multiple participant and winner of international competitions and photo exhibitions. Thus, at the beginning of this year, he became the silver prize winner of the competition of the three largest photographic societies PST, CAPA and PSTw. In addition, he was awarded a special prize - the FIAP honorary ribbon.
His work “Students” was awarded a gold medal at the prestigious international photo salon PhotoArt PRAGUE of the Czech Photographic Society in 2022.
At various times, V. Sargsyan's works were awarded special prizes in Russia, Morocco, China, the USA and the Czech Republic.
Experts note that red color is noticeably predominant in his works, to which the photographer responded as follows:
- Recently, on assignment from the Agency, I have begun to photograph paintings at exhibitions of our artists more often. I noticed that they actively use red tones. Apparently, the Turkmen people and, of course, artists associate red with the reflections of the sun, fire, and home. In addition, red is a symbol of youth and health. Based on these observations, I now strive to find harmony with red, the beautiful, in everything.
